Imperfection is Pretty...
I've always said that my personality is what keeps clients loyal to me. Not necessarily my looks or even my services, although I think both are fine! It's how I treat them. I try to make these men feel like old friends when they come to see me. Not just a hooker looking to make a quick buck, then pushes them out the door. I'm not perfect by any means, but I try to be the person I like to see in others.
I'll admit one of my many imperfections though, one that needs improving the most. And that's my phone etiquette, especially with strangers who call and want to talk my ear off. I sometimes have to remind myself that wanting to chat is a sign that they’re comfortable with me, and sometimes it pays to just go with the flow.
I had a gentleman call me 6 years ago inquiring information about another provider. My first instinct was to get annoyed, but something in his kind voice made me want to help. So I sat on the phone with him for approximately 2 hours helping him navigate different websites such as TER and Bigdoggie, till he found a provider that he liked. He thanked me multiple times, telling how helpful I had been to him. I appreciated his acknowledgement of my kindness, and it almost made me all warm and fuzzy, until I realized that I had just helped some other chick get paid!
The gentleman then called back 2 days later because he was having trouble navigating the site that used to be called ASPD, so I helped him again. He was so grateful for my patience and willingness to help, that he scheduled a 2 hour appointment with me the following week. Those appointments turned into a wonderful friendship and Porn partnership that lasted all those years.
And when I think about it, MANY of my favorite clients and good friends in this industry all started from a long phone conversation that I had with them many years previously. I call them my ROYAL Court of Friends; Friends whose loyalty and friendships with me over the years have stood the test of time. And I’ll admit that I’m not the easiest friend to keep with my borderline schizophrenic and flaky personality disorder…. LOL
I recognize those bad qualities in myself and I accept them, and if you proceed in a loyal friendship with me knowing my faults and accepting them also; I promise you this:
If ever I’M rich, YOU’LL NEVER be broke!!
