I’m doing just fine without you Craigslist. *Na Na Boo boo*

No need for the Hooker Patrol to get their panties in a bunch over the closure of Craigslist adult services section, because lets face it, that place is for amateurs and assholes. But Craigslist wasn’t always the nightmarish flagging fest that it turned into. Believe it or not Craigslist was the BOMB back when I started (2004).

I remember the good old days when your Craigslist ads would get you 20-30 solid responses daily, and your weeks would book up fast. I would literally sit in my apartment and work off one Craigslist ad, and be super busy the entire week. The men were respectful for the most part, except if you were new. And in a week’s time, you could easily make a grand or more depending on the number the clients you saw a day. It was lovely, I thought I hit the Jack Pot.

And then all hell broke loose....

First were the flame wars between clients and escorts or escorts and escorts. You could go on Craigslist and anonymously talk shit and spread gossip about anyone and instantly ruin their reputation. It was like watching a bad soap opera debut. It wasn’t long before I became a target, and someone posted that I was a “fat tranny”. Soon the idiots were posting mock ads of mine with hippo and monkey pictures, and I’d get calls at 3am with some fucktard making monkey sounds and harassing me for hours. But the money was too damn good that it clouded my better judgment to stop advertising there.

Then one of my clients told me to start flagging the mock ads which began phase II of my nightmare. The flagging. Once the creatures got wind of the flagging option, your ads would be flagged almost immediately after you posted them. Everyday my ads would get flagged moments after I post them, but to my surprise my ads were being flagged by cops and I was alerted by a reliable source that certain escorts were being watched, and I was one of them.

THEN....

A man was murdered in St. Charles and the FBI found my website and Craigslist saved on his computer. They called me and a few other girls that advertised for questions. That was it for me. I’d had my fair share of undeserved drama, and I simply gave up.

Luckily for me, I had established a faithful following and soon little advertising was necessary.

So yes, I have my share of War wounds from my Craigslist days and I say....

Don’t let the door hit you in the ass Craigslist “Adult Section”.

Good Riddance!
